Search Burial Records

In 2005, Uphall On The Web was granted permission by West Lothian Council to transcribe the burial registers for Uphall Cemetery. A few years later, the West Lothian Family History Society embarked on a process of transcribing the registers for West Lothian Cemeteries.  We were pleased to work together on transcribing over 12,000 Uphall Cemetery burial records, which the WLFHS subsequently published on CD.

The Uphall Cemetery burial records, for the period the cemetery opened in 1893 to 1975, are now available to search online by entering the exact first name and last name you are looking for.  Over time, we will also add photographs of headstones where they exist.

PLEASE NOTE: The search results do not include the deceased’s residence, cause of death, whether or not the burial was in private or common ground, or any additional information (such as lair holder details).  The West Lothian Family History Society help people from all over the world by volunteering their time and so we hope you may consider purchasing the CD from the WLFHS (www.wlfhs.org.uk).  Their CD’s will provide you with this additional detail (if recorded on the register).
